Nothing beats a yummy Movenpick ice cream on a sunny winter day! Yup, you’re reading it right – we just had a cold treat on a chilly day! Ice cream maybe the least thing you can think of just to feel warm on a nitty season, but our darlings with a sweet tooth just deserves a celebration. Why? Well, my grade-schooler just won her netball game!
Sorry for my bragging, but the reality is – I’m just finding a valid excuse to be able to try for the first time the yummy desserts at Mövenpick ice cream shop. It is the sole branch in South Australia so you can tell how excited I am coming here more than my girls. =)

Movenpick ice cream is a global Swiss ice cream brand that is sold through luxury hotels, restaurants and boutiques in more than 40 countries worldwide. Now, they have over 25 shops in the land down under but with only one branch in Adelaide, South Australia. You may also find your nearest Movenpick Ice Cream shop here.
The branch is located at 2-6 Leigh Street, Adelaide City. A walking distance to the famed Rundle Mall, the heart of the city. There aren’t many people when we walked in one early afternoon, so we took our time looking through their offerings on the menu.

Movenpick Ice Cream Review
Among tasty options, we ordered the following:
- Chocolate Fondant
- Chocolate Waffles
- Tiramisu Ice Cream and Stracciatella Scoops
All are just very delicious! First, the chocolate fondant is bittersweet that goes well with the sour taste of the strawberry fruits and the raspberry ice cream. They are just perfect altogether! Second, the chocolate waffles are Crisp and delish with the thick chocolate syrup and creamy ice creams.
Our overall verdict: Scrumptious!
And the service is almost 5 out of 5! I do appreciate the fact that the staff accommodated our need for assurance that the food we select is nut-free. My youngest is severely allergic to nuts. So when the lady advised us that our initial order, Macarons, is made from almond milk, we selected otherwise. However, while she was busy with our order, her mate just forgot to give us the adequate cutlery beforehand. Nevertheless, service is A+ for me.
