What Is The Purpose of Life?

What is the purpose of life when our life on earth is just temporary? We may be certain about our birth date, but the day we depart this world is uncertain. It is even hard to assimilate that death is inevitable for every living thing. Yes, everyone is bound to leave this earth at a given point in time.

It is one of those facts of life that people may seem to avoid discussing but are actually inspiring if you wear a new pair of glasses.

According to Albert Einstein:

“We cannot get to where we dreamed of being tomorrow unless we change our thinking today.”

After all, how we relate to things, how we take action always start with how we look and think about stuff. Our actions are always influenced by our point of view first. Thus, it is my aim that you get to see a new paradigm about life to understand its purpose.

And that is to realise that everything comes to an end. Some good things never last. Nevertheless, this is not a cause for sadness. Because, just as the sun needs to set to give way to the moon at night, the dawn comes alive again with the hope of a new day. Life may end, but it is certain that new life is at hand.

What is the Purpose of Life

Thereby, what do you think is our life’s purpose? Well, believe that we are here to live a life worth living for others.

Our life may be temporary but the difference or impact we can leave behind is endless. Therefore, leave a legacy. So what do you want to be remembered as when the hourglass of life says it’s over? What difference can you make today that you hope can impact future generations?

Well, don’t over think. The moment you were born you were given talents. Discover it. What is it that makes you happy naturally without any attachment to people or things? Do it and do it well.

You see, life’s purpose is to live life authentically. And, by using our innate abilities to the fullest, others may be inspired by our example.

Easier said than done though. Because the journey to self-discovery takes a lot of courage. However, have faith. Sharing your talents with the world requires character; Be you.

Questions to Finding the Purpose of Life

Therefore, my questions for you to find your purpose in life are:

What makes you feel alive and look forward to waking up in the morning and do things meaningfully every day? Does it inspire you to achieve more? How much are you willing to tolerate in order to succeed? Why do you do the things you do? Is there some way you can do it better? Can you define your heart’s desire? How do you think you can achieve it?

Write them. Make time for them. Achieve them.

Take Inspiration

Remember these pieces of advice from Albert Einstein:

If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal. Not to people or to things.

Never give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than the one with all the facts. –

The ship is always safe at the shore. But it is not what it is built for.

Only a life lived for others is worth living.

No one can go back and start a new beginning. But any one can start now and make a new ending.
